Meet the Team

Hi I'm Claire, I live with my husband Tom, son Archie, Bertha our Chocolate lab, Patsy our Patterpoo, 5 chickens and 2 pigs. Although I have had many animals my whole life, my passion for dogs started when my husband and I decided to get our first dog together.

15 years ago, I founded Claire's Comfy Canines, a business that has earned an outstanding and award winning reputation for our high standards of dog care and I am incredibly proud of it.
In 2024, my passion for business and dog care was ignited again and Hunters was launched. A trusted business of professionals who help and support others on their journeys in the pet sector.
We have a growing network of trusted dog lovers, who offer exceptional levels of care and professionalism, all working under the same umbrella and with our support and knowledge.

I had the privilege to offer guidance to DEFRA on the new animal activities licensing which came into force in 2018 and sat on the board of the Pet Industry Federation, helping to ensure high standards within the sector.
I am level 3 qualified with the IMDT.

Hi I’m Laura!
Head of Training

Over the last 12 years I have really enjoyed training the team, dogs and clients at our award winning doggy day care centre, Claires Comfy Canines, where I am General Manager. I was therefore delighted to accept the role as Head Of Training at Hunters Dog Holidays when the business was launched.
I take care of writing and delivering the training that our new members undertake when they first join us.

I believe that by continuing to learn how to enrich their lives is the key to happy dogs! After that, its all about educating others with the knowledge I have learned to make sure everyone has the power to enjoy their time with their dogs
I am a Certified Dog Trainer (DTC) from The Dog Training College - Level 4. Attended level 5 & 6 coaching calls. I have a Level 3 in Professional Daycare and Boarding from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and have completed hours and hours of CPD.

As well as the team directly involved with Hunters, we are so lucky to have the entire award winning team of Claire's Comfy Canines based at HQ. The team have over 50 years combined experience and are here to help our members both during their training and ongoing with the enhanced membership.
